The Person

ēcoGrün became a reality in the summer of 2009 from the vision of a 12 year old entrepreneur.

The name of the company comes from his desire to help the environment (ēco) and Grün (green) which takes into account his German heritage.

Learning about the depleting resources of the Earth, he has made a conscious effort to make sure his family and household has more of an environmental conscience.

The Partner

In February 2009 the founder of ēcoGrün became aware of the issues with the disposal of old computer parts and other types of electronic equipment.

This, coupled with personal relationship with the only closed-loop, 100% green compliant recycling solution in the Central United States, provided him with the inspiration to form ēcoGrün.

The eCycling partner is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) registered facility and is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ORI certified. Our partner provides a zero electronics to landfill recycling solution.

The Goals

The goals of ēcoGrün are simple:

First and foremost is to provide a service to businesses, communities and individuals to dispose of eWaste in an environmentally friendly manner.

Second, ēcoGrün is working to be a source of education and a place to disseminate information concerning eWaste. We are available to speak at schools, community events or businesses.

Finally, the founder of ēcoGrün is going to set aside some of the proceeds from this endeavor to create a college fund for himself.

Colleges under consideration are MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Stanford
