Second, do you have an EPA, ISO certified partner to recycle your eWaste?

Our assumption to one, if not both of the questions above are NO!

Here is your situation:

Find an employee to gather your electronic waste, make sure you have the proper vehicle to transfer the eWaste, find a facility which will accept eWaste and then drive to drop off your companies eWaste. 

Plus, we assume that employee has other important, money making responsibilities.

Things to consider:

Can you be sure your employee will find a recycler which is an EPA, ISO certified zero landfill recycling facility. 

Do you have sensitive data?  Does the recycling center your employee is taking your intellectual property to offer data destruction to Department of Defense (DOD) specifications? 

Would your employee even know to ask that question?

·       2 hours- find a recycle center which will accept eWaste

·       90 minutes - call recycle center, confirm what they will accept (assume 3 calls)

o      2 hours - load vehicle, drive to recycle center, unload, drive back to work

·       5.5 hours @ $50 per hour = $275

Other Costs:                                                                $438.50

·       55 cents per mile - @ 70 miles = $38.50

·       If you have no capable vehicle, truck rental - $50 per day, plus mileage

       Estimated cost for one-off eCycling eWaste (20 monitors & Towers) - $350

 Lost Profit (What if?):                                                  $6,000.00

·       Telephone circuits go down

·       1/2 day's lost profit

o       Network Administrator was not available to fix down circuits

        while delivering eWaste products
